“رابطة الأوعية” بـ “الأطباء البحرينية”: أبحاث وحملات توعية لتعزيز الوقاية من “القدم السكري”

On the sidelines of participation in one of the workshops Vascular Surgery Association in Bahrain Medical Society announced that it conducted scientific research on the rate of amputations of lower limbs as a result of diabetes in Bahrain, in order to form more accurate and comprehensive knowledge about these cases and attributed to the number of people infected with TB.

The vice president of the Association and Consultant Vascular Surgery and head of the blood vessels and chest at the Salmaniya Medical Complex, Dr. Rani Aga is expected to benefit from the results of this research, which is published in May in reducing the number of cases where the doctor is forced to take Holster amputation of the lower limb of an infected diabetes, so because of this amputation of a negative impact on the patient and the community.

In the same context, Dr. Agha revealed that the association is launching a targeted campaign to spread awareness of diabetes, “diabetic foot” of the various segments of citizens and residents in Bahrain, and it will be part of the campaign to establish an introductory suite at a major commercial complexes, where will be available specialists to define the complex pioneers Bmaheh diabetic foot and risks and how to prevent them.

On a related association president and Consultant Vascular Surgery at the Military Hospital, Dr. Zafar Kamal said that the Vascular Surgery Association in Bahrain Medical Society has set up a workshop at the Society’s headquarters on the “complications of the dye used in the catheter on the kidneys and how it can be avoided,” he said, adding that it was during the the workshop reviewed a number of early surgical operations in Bahrain conducted the thoracic aorta by the catheter.

Dr. Kamal said that the Association had also established a precedent and a similar workshop in the month of January last, during which presented a paper on “aneurysm in the aorta,” and indicated the preliminary results of the research that the disease is not widespread in Bahrain.
